CPT Entertainment has announced a new program called “Expressions of Canada” which will be incorporated into the all-new CPT Coast to Coast Festival and Canadian Travel Show. “Expressions of Canada” will provide an opportunity for people from all walks of life to submit their creations that have drawn inspiration from someone or something truly Canadian.

“It’s the people that bring this country to life, and it’s the people that should tell the story about why Canada is the greatest country in the world,” said Kevin Bulmer of CPT Entertainment Inc. “As we build this event, we’d like to see it represent the collective vision of the community. It will then become what our fellow Canadians make it.”

CPT Entertainment is looking for artistic “expressions” of something inherently Canadian: a person, place, thing, event or idea. Selected submissions will be displayed at the event and will become eligible to win a variety of prizes.  All artistic categories are being sought, such as photography, sculpture, music, painting, drawing, poetry/ literature, live arts, crafts and anything else unique, creative and artistic that contributes to the theme of the event.

“The challenge of launching a program like this is to be specific yet a little vague at the same time,” said Bulmer. “We’ve put some definitions to it, but we also want to have the flexibility to grow and change as it goes along. This is the first year. It will be a great learning experience, and we’re looking forward to working with everyone to grow it and improve it.”

Prizing and support for the program and the event in general are being sought from a wide variety of promotional partners and will be posted as they are confirmed.

“We have engaged in dialogue with a number of great local, regional and National organizations and the response to the concept has been overwhelmingly positive,” said Bulmer. “We welcome the input of anyone else who would like to be a part of this event. We’d love to have them involved.”

Designed to be a celebration of all that makes Canada unique, the CPT Coast to Coast Festival and Canadian Travel Show aims to provide guests with the opportunity to experience the many sights, sounds, people and places from across the country all under one roof. CPT Entertainment is also working with several different travel operators and destinations to present travellers with a one-of-a-kind opportunity to explore new and exciting Canadian destinations and activities, from daytrips to travel adventures and all things in between.

“We’re all guilty of not being very aware of some of the great things to do in our own backyard, let alone across the country,” said Bulmer. “But, with this event, that is going to change.”
